Trade Show Booth at the GABF
Planning
• Worked with the Brewers Association on behalf of Draft for sponsorship role.
• Worked with the Brewers Association to facilitate distribution 5000 premier issues in every volunteer and brewer gift bag.
• Created a booth with graphics.
• Researched recommended and ordered giveaway promotional items including logo hats, bottle openers, t-shirts, bags etc.
• Worked with national trade show company Freeman and Associates to facilitate shipping of 30,000 magazines, snack foods, banners etc.
Design Work
• Designed a four-color ad for GABF program.
• Created vertical and horizontal banners for walls and ceiling.
• Designed and ordered graphic displays.
• Designed and shipped all printed materials for distribution at the event.
• Created look for the first ever Draft Girls, which included ordering and fitting apparel.
Project Management
• Located and rented interactive games as well as coordinated the delivery and pickup of each game.
• Hired models to be “Draft Girls” to sell subscriptions, hand out magazines and run the interactive games.
• Trained “Draft Girls” to sell subscriptions
• Arranged for “Draft Girls” to hand out issues to each person as they exited the venue.
• Arranged for the “Draft Girls” to be visible at Brewery after-hours parties.
• Ordered tables, water cooler, draping, and carpet
• Arranged labor to hang banners, install electric etc.
• Provided on-site management and supervision of the event.
Draft's VIP Lounge Area
Planning
• Created a private, invitation only, high-spirited Bistro atmosphere for free beer and snack foods.
• Planned room set up and decor.
• Arranged video with music to launch magazine on flat screen TV’s in the VIP area.
• Located and booked a local well known Jazz ensemble.
• Arranged a private VIP party for brewers and brew industry leaders with upscale food, beer and entertainment.
• Created a promotion that allowed guests the opportunity to win a video iPod.
Project Management
• Planned and ordered the food and beverage.
• Ordered and shipped signage.
• Designed VIP passes.
• Ordered tables, chairs, linens, carpet and draping.
• Arranged shipping for all materials used in this area.
• Provided on-site management and supervision of the event.
• With the help of a US Senator, facilitated shipping of remaining magazines to troops in Iraq.
Outcome: Thousands of subscriptions were sold at the venue and more came in after. Every attendee, volunteer and brewer left the venue with a copy of the first issue in their hands. There was a high level of excitement about this new beer/lifestyle publication.
