Planning
• Changed the VIP area to be more upscale with plexi-glass walls and doors.
• Planned and arranged a penthouse party for select advertisers.
• Negotiated special hors d'oeuvres from upscale restaurants for use in the VIP area.
• Planned and arranged special, invitation only, upscale dinners with food and beer pairings in better Denver restaurants.
Design
• Designed hard copy and web invitations for the VIP events.
• Designed a special card with DRAFT logo imprinted on chocolate with the message "A sweet deal" for 2500 brewers’ gift bags.
• Designed and arranged creation of navy linens with large white DRAFT magazine logo.
• Designed and ordered new graphic displays and cover graphics.
Project Management
• Ordered higher end hors d'oeuvres for all sessions.
• Hired staffing for the booth and VIP area.
• Trained staffers.
• Selected and procured staff attire.
• Located and booked a penthouse condo for DRAFT executives.
• Kept executives abreast of airline rates to Denver.
• Selected and ordered premiums with logos for giveaways at brewers’ after-hours parties.
Outcome: In the last year, DRAFT Magazine has successfully built a loyal fan base and has surpassed any other beer publication in quality and subscriptions. This year, attendees vied for passes to the VIP area as well as premium giveaways and renewed or signed up for subscriptions purchased for attendees through a partnership with Breckenridge Brewery. DRAFT has successfully become the go to company for media, brewers and industry people as well as subscribers.
